MACHINE DESIGN

DESIGN AND REVIEW

The creative process begins once the initial concept has been agreed upon.  Whether a simple jig or a complex machine, the process is the same.  Taking the concept with the best potential and the customer requirements, all of the details need to be brought into the working design.  Decisions are made about which components are the most important, and the other components are worked in around them.  Balance needs to be found between cost, quality, and efficiency.

The customer is brought in to approve major milestones, ensuring that the final design is not a surprise to them.  Jeffery Neal Engineering works transparently, in that the customer has the final say on all aspects of the design, and has access to it at all times.  At regular meetings, the current design is reviewed and approved, and outstanding issues are flagged for attention.  The machine is cycled between the design and review stages until a final design is agreed.

Jeffery Neal Engineering prides itself on designing simple, robust, and elegant machinery.  Our aim is to design machines that are useful and reliable, as well as safe and cosmetically pleasing.  They must do what the customer requires while keeping within time and budget constraints.
